Creative Craft Fair 2009

Published by Christine on November 25, 2009

Twin Love was at the 32nd Creative Craft Fair this season and it was amazing! It was our very first show and the whole experience was fantastic.   We received a lot of positive feed back and good ideas of things we hadn’t thought of, or didn’t think there would be interest in.   I even took notes of certain points, but now of course I’ve misplaced the paper i wrote them on. ~_~  Two things, however, readily stand out as note worthy, 1)I need to make a few tea cozies and 2)A lot of people don’t know what arm warmers are! It was the # 1 Question of the weekend. ^^  Any who, in case you missed us, I’ve added some lovely pictures to the Event’s Gallery.  And once again, thank you all for the wonderful support!

Ps. I think there’s something a bit wonky with my galleries.  Sometimes it just needs to be refreshed.  Working on it! <3

Friends are Beautiful

Published by Christine on November 6, 2009

My good friend Hev is too sweet for words! She is the Cross Stitch Mistress extraordinaire!  She made me one of the sweetest gifts I’ve ever received, and has always been super supportive.

She has this awesome program that can turn images into charts and has made a chart for Twin Love!

Twin Love Chart!

How amazing is that?  As soon as things calm down a bit, and my Pearks show is over, I totally want to stitch that and sew it into a bag.  She’s also been kind enough to place a link to out Twin Love site <3 Thanks Hev!

Cozy me up!

Published by Christine on October 6, 2009

Joules has been crazy busy lately, so to help her out,  I took photo’s of some of her beautiful creations and posted them up on our Etsy this morning!

Hopefully this will inspire Joules to get the rest of her amazing creations up! She has a few hats, neck cozies, and another pair of arm warmers she needs to post as well!  It’s hard to believe that a year ago, she had no clue how to crochet, and now she’s better that I am!  I had tried many times before to teach her and convince her how awesome the art of crochet is, but when you’re not feeling it,  you’re not feeling it.  Well, what ever the reasons on how i finally convinced her to learn, I’m so excited that we get to share this hobby! <3

Ps. I updated the Galleries and the rest of the new arm warmers I just put up can be seen here in our gallery, or up on our Etsy!

Love is in the Air!

Published by Christine on September 30, 2009

Well, Twin Love has been open for just over a week now and we already have three sales!! I suppose it may not seem like a lot, but to me it means the world.  :)  I’m so excited that there are people who love what we’re creating and who are supporting us in this endeavor! It’s a fantastic feeling!

It’s also been quite a learning process, as all things in life should be.   I love all the feedback, ideas and advice we’re getting! So keep it coming!

One of the things I’m wanting to branch more into is making things for little ones, newborns, and toddlers.   The picture to the right is my first attempt at making something tiny and I think it turned out pretty well!  It’s soooo cute that it makes me pine a little for a wee one of my own! But not yet! In the mean time I’ll just keep making stuff for you <3

I’m also thinking about what to make for all the fellows out there! I’ve been pestering my guy friends asking them what kind of scarves, hats, etc they might like to wear in the colder seasons and I’ve got some ideas brewing!

It’s all happening.

Welcome!

Published by Christine on September 18, 2009

It’s finally begun.

After years and years of Joules telling me that my crocheted creations are lovely and I should really think about an Etsy shop, I’ve finally taken that step.  I’ve been crocheting for quite some time now, but only for gifts and the pure enjoyment of its creation.  And would I love to spend the rest of my life crafting? Oh my goodness yes.  And yet,  I was always lacking a motivation, a certain confidence in myself.  But once I taught Julianne to crochet and she started making these amazing beautiful things, I knew i had to catch up, or be left behind!  Working together, a fantastic vision of what Twin Love could be was born.  I’m so excited and happy to say that our etsy shop, Twin Love Design, is now officially open.

Yay!

I want to thank everyone for all the love and encouragement we’ve received.  The site is still rusty, and I havent finished posting all the items yet, but it’s a solid beginning.

Hope everyone is having a lovely day!
